The mission of The Development and Behavior Analysis SIG of the Association of Behavior Analysis International is two fold. First is to bring a behavioral-developmental thrust to Behavior Analysis. This includes bringing people from outside of traditional behavior analysis to the ABA meetings and form collaborations. The second is to bring behavior-developmental analysis to the wider world of psychology, evolution, economics, etc. So far there have been a number of means. The Development and Behavior Analysis SIG of the Association of Behavior Analysis International (ABA) completed its six year of scheduling a portion of the ABA annual Program. Many of the participants are from outside of ABA. We have scheduled not only invited addresses and symposia but panel discussions and debates on key issues such as moral development, stages, biological basis of behavior. We share our newsletter widely with other developmentalists. We also organize programs in other organizations, such as AME (Association of Moral Education), APA (American Psychological Association), EPA (Eastern Psychological Association), ISIS (International Society of Infant Studies), SMAC (The Mexican Association of Behavioral Analysis), SRAD (Society for Research in Adult Development, SRCD (Society for Research in Child Development), that present accomplishments, findings, issues and theory in Behavioral Development.
